Atlantean Treasures gets first jackpot: CA$ 11,8 million win!

Mega Moolah has been handing out jackpots like they're going out of style. So it comes as no surprise that May was kicked off by a massive $11,8 million win given to one lucky player from New Zealand. And it was the first time Atlantean Treasures: Mega Moolah was the winning game which makes the moment extra special!

It has only been one month since the last big win ($16,5 million won by a Canadian player) when another jackpot hit. A player from New Zealand was spinning Atlantean Treasures at River Belle Casino when the Mega Jackpot stuck and he ended up winning NZ$13,6 million on one spin. The winnings were paid out as New Zealand dollars (we converted the amount into Canadian dollars based today's days value).

Atlantean Treasures: Mega Moolah was published only a couple months ago before it made headlines with the 12th biggest jackpot win of all times. If you would like to try out the game yourself, we have listed casinos that offer Atlantean Treasures in their selection.

Review of Atlantean Treasures: Mega Moolah

Atlantean Treasures is the the fifth installment in the Mega Moolah series. It takes place underwater and features mermaids, colorful fishes, corals and starfishes - so it is relatively different than the "normal" game. In the background you can marvel at an sunken city and enjoy the navel themed music and sound effects. Overall it is a very nicely designed slot and really takes Mega Moolah to the 21st century.

But it's not just the design that sets it apart from other Mega Moolah games. Atlantean Treasure has smaller minimum bet ($0,10) then the previous games and it has only 10 pay lines. In addition to that, Atlantean Tresures is a win-both-ways slot while the other ones only pay wins from left to right.

There are seven different basic symbols and one mermaid wild symbol. The most valuable symbol is of course the wild but BAR and 7 symbols also reward players with good winnings. When it comes to special effects, Atlantean Treasures does not have free spins - instead it uses re-spins and expanding wilds. The bonus game works the same way as usually: players get to spin the bonus wheel that might reward them with a Mega Jackpot. But even if you do not collect the main prize, there are still rewards up to 250 times your stake up for grabs.

UPDATE: Massive win to Canada

Mega Moolah has done it again - not once but twice. In a matter of three days the game handed out two massive jackpots and we are happy to report that the bigger one went to a Canadian player! We haven't yet gotten a confirmation which casino the gamer was playing at but we will report it as soon as details become available. What we do now, is that that the final amount was a whopping $9,962,468 and it was won on the 24th of May.

This is the 20th jackpot to go to Canada from the overall 66 the game has given so far. So statistically more winnings have been given to Canadians than any other nation so Mega Moolah has definitely been kind to players from the Great White North.

As if this was not enough, another jackpot was given less than 72 hours later. Since it has just happened, we only know that the big win was worth €4,4 million so we can assume it was won by an European player. This means that on May Mega Moolah has given over $20 million and month is not even over!

What games are a part of the Mega Moolah series?

Instead of developing multiple different jackpot games, Microgaming has focused on perfecting the one they have. The original Mega Moolah was published in 2006 and has been a player favorite ever since. That's why the game provider has created different version of the fan-favorite slot that all share the same Mega Jackpot. That is one of the reasons why Mega Moolah goes on so often and why the prize pool is always really high.

In 2020 (after a 11-year-break) Microgaming has published two different versions: Atlantic Treasures that came out in February and Absolootly Mad Mega Moolah that was presented in May. The latter was has gotten its inspiration from Mad Hatter in Alice and the Wonderland and is absolutely the craziest version of them all.

The other three special versions all came out in 2009. The most famous one is of course Mega Moolah Isis that takes place in ancient Egypt but Mega Moolah Summertime and Mega Moolah 5 Reel Drive are also worth checking out.
